Joe Average is one of Vancouver’s best-known artists and philanthropists.

The website is a complete gallery that showcases Joe’s original artwork, e-cards (or ‘Joe Cards’), audio recordings of Joe’s biography (by one of his best buddies, Graydon), press releases and a selection of prints, calendars, cards, even original artwork – all of which are available for purchase (individual and wholesale) online, thanks to an e-commerce solution. The website design is fresh, innovative and explorative – like his work.

The introduction movie was developed in Flash and brings Joe’s trademark bee character to life through well-planned design and animation – all set to Hard Rubber Orchestra’s original music. Recently, these introductory graphics were adapted by Paperny Films for a documentary on Joe Average called “Above Average” that aired on CBC. This documentary has since received a Leo Award – way to go Joe!
